The Tudor Pelagos

Elegant sportiness combines with mechanical precision

The attractive Tudor Pelagos was introduced in 2012. Highlights of the timepiece include a satin finish titanium and stainless steel case. The Tudor Pelagos incorporates a helium escape valve, large illuminated indices, and an impressive water resistance up to 500 meters. The expertise of Tudor – a Swiss subsidiary of Rolex – is exquisitely demonstrated with the highly accurate quality timepiece.

The Tudor Pelagos also features a bevelled inner bezel comprised of ceramic. This functional divers element incorporates minute markers on the wristwatch. A self-winding mechanical movement powers the models developed prior to 2015. The sleek black dial of the timepiece is protected under a robust sapphire crystal and is fitted with square, triangular, or rectangular hour markers. Furthermore, a date indicator is positioned at the 3 o’clock marker of the timepiece. The Tudor Pelagos skilfully convinces with a high quality and attractive prices.

The Tudor Pelagos

A robust diving companion

With a water resistance of 500 meters, the Tudor Pelagos is a divers watch that is truly compatible for deep-sea diving. Another feature that is highly appreciated by professional divers is the helium escape valve that is located at the 9 o’clock marker. The valve is a mechanism that allows for small gas particles trapped inside the case of the watch to easily escape and equalize in pressure during decompression phases.

The numerals located on the dial and the unidirectional bezel of the watch are comprised of a light blue hue and are coated with a luminous material. Furthermore, the watch indices are also luminous, ensuring optimal legibility of the watch in the most unfavourable conditions.

A unique feature of the Tudor Pelagos is its patented spring mechanism that allows the bracelet of the watch to adjust in size depending on the pressure levels experienced during a dive. The spring mechanism developed by Tudor allows the bracelet of the diving watch to sit comfortably around the wrist without the diver having to worry about adjusting it in unfavourable conditions. The Tudor Pelagos (Ref. 25500TN) is manufactured with a high-quality titanium bracelet that is fitted with a stainless steel folding clasp. The bracelet of the watch automatically contracts while encompassed in greater depths and expands when the diver is ascending to the surface and experiencing less water pressure. In addition, the timepiece is additionally presented with rubber strap that, like the titanium bracelet, features an extension system. Since many divers prefer a rubber strap, Tudor has incorporated the practical addition to the Pelagos timepieces.

Calibre MT5612

Pelagos - now equipped with an in-house Tudor manufacture calibre

During Baselworld 2015, Tudor caused a sensation with the launch of a new, blue version of the Pelagos. A particularly impressive aspect is the Tudor developed automatic calibre MT5612 that powers the timepiece. With an impressive power reserve of over 70-hours, the new movement is fitted in both the new blue Pelagos (Ref. 25600TB) as well as its preceding sleek black model (Ref. 25600TN).

The Renewed Pelagos watches feature a classic diving watch aesthetic and are also renowned for their robust capabilities and outstanding precision. The timepieces are powered by the latest Tudor developed movement, the MT5612, which is COSC certified.
