Hamilton Intra-Matic

Hamilton Intra-Matic: Models and Prices. New, used, vintage.

Hamilton Intra-Matic

Reminiscent of their popular 1960s model, Hamilton launched a reinterpretation of the intra-matic. The details of the famous watch collection are comprised of classical American style. Elegant and slim – the intra-matic nestles pleasantly on the wrist, instantly ensuring a high comfort fit.

Intra-Matic

A tribute to a classic

The unique design of the yesteryear bestseller carries on in the new Hamilton Intra-Matic collection. Optically pleasing elements include the minimalist dial that is comprised of a classic black or sleek silver tone. Fitted on the dial of the watch are two simple straight hands and slender indices that ensure the flawless legibility of the timepiece.

A practical date display can be located at the 6 o’clock position of the timepiece. Standout features of the watch include the considerably slim case, which measures a slight 7-millimeretes in height, and the clean lines of the timepiece form, which further enhance the pure design of the watch. In contrast to the original models, today’s Intra-Matic watches are equipped with modern high-performance automatic movements and are comprised of highly resistant and robust materials.

Intra-Matic characteristics

The new Hamilton Intra-Matic is presented in dimensions that measure 38 and 42-millimeters, guaranteeing the perfect size for any wrist. The original brand logo can be viewed on the watch, which stands in stark contrast to the contemporary font that the brand utilises today.

The case of the Intra-Matic timepiece can optionally be comprised of robust stainless steel or yellow gold PVD – meaning that the gold has undergone a PVD coating. Both versions of the timepiece can be fitted with a classic black leather strap or a sleek stainless steel bracelet. The black leather strap presents a twinge of nostalgia, however, as it was specifically created for the Hamilton Intra-Matic in order to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the collection.

At the heart of the original model beats the Büren calibre, which was an automatic movement with a bi-directional winding mechanism. Furthermore, the vintage movement made the most out of its winding power thanks to its mutual decoupling of the automatic and manual winding systems. A reliable automatic movement powers the current ultra-matic models. Although the case of the watch presents space restrictions, the movement is equipped with a 42-hour power reserve. Hamilton has managed to maintain the traditional petite shape of the case and has successfully transferred a popular vintage design to meet modern and contemporary standards.

Classic American design & characteristic Swiss precision

The current Intra-Matic model is presented in several variations. The Intra-Matic Ref. H38755131 can be discovered in the Hamilton American Classic collection. As is made evident by the name, the classic timepiece is enclosed in a sleek and timeless stainless steel case that measures 42-millimeters. Furthermore, the watch is water resistant up to 50 meters. The dial of the watch is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass, ensuring that the vintage inspired timepiece remains highly legible.

The Intra-Matic calls out to watch lovers worldwide. Enthusiasts of simple elegance are drawn to the minimalistic and refined components of the timepiece. Founded in 1829, Hamilton timepieces have enjoyed great popularity over several generations. The brand gained world fame when Elvis Presley adorned a Hamilton Ventura timepiece in the movie Blue Hawaii.
