Heuer Monaco

The Heuer Monaco is no ordinary watch. Rather, the sporty chronograph is a milestone in watchmaking and, as such, has long since become a cult object. At the time of its introduction in 1969, the rectangular model was the world's first automatic chronograph that could be worn on the wrist. The watch was named in honour of the legendary Formula 1 Grand Prix, which is held year after year in the principality of the same name on the Côte d'Azur. However, the Monaco collection first achieved real world fame on the wrist of actor Steve McQueen, who wore the watch in his celebrated racing blockbuster Le Mans in 1971.

Timekeeping - The soul of racing

The soul of all racing is undoubtedly timekeeping. It is only through timing that the performances of individual drivers and athletes can be precisely compared. It is not without reason that chronographs are an integral part of all sporting competitions in which speed is the primary factor. As the first chronograph in wristwatch format, this watch made it possible for racing drivers from a wide variety of series to time their own laps. At the time, this was equivalent to a revolution. Not least because of their historical significance, Heuer Monaco vintage watches have long since become sought-after classics that enjoy a high reputation worldwide. At CHRONEXT, you can only buy models certified by our CHRONEXT watchmakers. Always including 24 months CHRONEXT warranty.
