Panerai titanium watches: A wealth of innovation from Italy
Panerai titanium models have a long history at the Milan-based manufacturer, which makes its watches in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. The company produced diving watches with luminous dials for the Italian Navy as early as the early 1900s and today offers professional diving watches with lightweight, resistant titanium cases in all its collections.
At CHRONEXT, you can get a wide selection of Panerais titanium watches ready for immediate delivery and at fair prices. Discover your desired model while stocks last and secure yourself a smart offer. All watches have been inspected for authenticity by our certified CHRONEXT watchmakers and come with a 24-month warranty.
For professional divers and collectors
The Italian company has specialised in watchmaking and reliable instruments for divers since its foundation in 1860. There is a good reason why Panerai has so many titanium watches in its range: the material is particularly light and resistant and is therefore ideal for the cases of robust tool watches made for professional use.
Thanks to the large selection, you can buy classic second-hand references such as the PAM 177 as well as contemporary models such as the PAM 564. While the earlier Panerai titanium watches have tried-and-tested Unitas calibres that are easy to repair, the manufacturer has gradually equipped its models with modern manufacture movements since the introduction of the first in-house calibre P.2002. Both in-house and ready-made calibres play an important role due to the brand's history.
Six collections with Panerai titanium references
Panerai now offers titanium watches in all its collections. The variety of models ranges from professional diving watches such as the Submersible in titanium to classic models such as the Radiomir Titan and modern, elegant Luminor Due references. You can choose from:
- Panerai Submersible Titanium
- Panerai Luminor Titanium
- Panerai Luminor 1950 Titanium
- Panerai Luminor Due Titanium
- Panerai Radiomir Titanium
- Panerai Radiomir 1940 Titanium
Panerai and its close ties to Rolex
Panerai's history is unique in the watch world and demonstrates two things: the Italian manufacture has a close relationship with Rolex and has pioneered innovative materials since the beginning of its history. After the Italian Navy commissioned the company in 1935 to develop a waterproof diving watch for combat swimmers, Panerai approached Rolex. The Geneva-based company was one of the few watchmakers capable of making waterproof watches in the 1930s. Rolex sold Panerai movements and cases, which Panerai turned into the first Radiomir models.
Speaking of Radiomir: the Radiomir models had a generous amount of radium luminous material to reliably display the time even during deep dives. From 1950 onwards, Panerai replaced Radiomir with Luminor – a tritium-based luminous material with which Luminor watches with the distinctive crown bow were introduced for the first time. In recent years, the company has been experimenting primarily with innovative case materials. In addition to Panerai's titanium watches, the manufacturer produces watches made of Goldtech, ceramics, Carbotech and Fibratech – a high-tech material based on mineral basalt fibres and unique in the watch world.
