The Longines Dolce Vita

Italian charm meets Swiss craftsmanship

Longines is a Swiss company that was founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier. Today, the Swiss house looks back on rich experience in the field of Haute Horlogerie. Longines initially produced pocket watches with a verge escapement that was presented to the international market. Longines quickly established itself as a high-quality timepiece manufacturer and soon became an expert producer of mechanical watch movements. The watchmaking factory was and is still – located in "Les Longines" or “the long meadows”. Eventually, Longines bloomed into a famous brand that was renowned for its quality pieces. In 1880, the name “Longines” was registered as a trademark and is, therefore, the oldest registered watch brand in the world.

With 11 exceptional wristwatches, the Longines Dolce Vita collection introduces Italian flair to the everyday endeavours of style-conscious women. The sizes of the timepieces, as well as the materials that are used in their production, distinguish the Dolce Vita models from the rest of the crowd. The watches are comprised of noble materials including stainless steel, yellow gold, and rose gold. Furthermore, the timepieces are adorned with exquisite diamonds, adding a luxurious touch to already exceptional aesthetics. For resilience in everyday situations, a scratch resistant sapphire glass protects the dials of the Dolce Vita watches.

The hallmark of the Longines Dolce Vita collection is its rectangular form – a rare characteristic that demonstrates strength in character and sets the timepiece apart from other fine women’s timepieces.

A touch of dolce vita for every woman

The extraordinarily elegant design of the Longines Dolce Vita collection has inspired clients of the brand from the very first hour of introduction. The ambassadors of the collection include Oscar-winner Kate Winslet, Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai, and Taiwanese model Lin Chi Ling – three very diverse women that validate the versatile charm of the Dolce Vita collection. On the wrist of each sophisticated brand ambassador, the Longines Dolce Vita timepiece exudes a sense style and carefree charisma. Thanks to the variety of materials and colour schemes utilised in the Longines Dolce Vita timepieces, every woman is able to discover an elegant model that fits her tastes and preferences perfectly.

Gold vs. stainless steel

Dolce Vita – a classic timepiece

Luxurious yet classic, the Longines Dolce Vita collection is presented in 18-carat yellow gold. A glamorous aesthetic is guaranteed with the reference L5.155.7.16.6 that is fitted with a gold bracelet and 32 diamonds that are set on the side of the case. A small seconds subdial is located at the six o’clock marker, further enhancing the white dial face. The Longines Dolce Vita Ref. L5.502.6.16.0 thrills with a sleek colour scheme and wonderful contrasting materials. The combination of a golden case and a black leather strap provides the ladies timepiece with a classic yet eye-catching look.

Delicately timeless is the Longines Dolce Vita model that is also presented in stainless steel. The bracelet can optionally be fitted with a traditional alligator leather strap, exuding a classic and timeless feel. Furthermore, the dial of the watch is comprised of a crisp white tone and features Arabic indices (Ref. L5.155.0.84.6) and a diamond adorned watch face (Ref. L5.155.0.84.6). The Dolce Vita reference L5.655.4.71.2 stands out thanks to its remarkable Roman numerals and wide leather strap.

Longines

The oldest watch brand in the world

Longines is the oldest watch brand to be registered with the World Intellectual Property Organization. Therefore, the brand name and logo are protected around the globe. Of course, this fact reflects the company’s philosophy and tradition. In 1832, Auguste Agassiz founded the company in the small Swiss town of Saint-Imier. The distribution of Longines timepieces soon conquered the international market. Today, the watch manufacturer has developed a corporate structure that ensures all of the relevant stages of watch production are constructed under one roof.

The purchase of an additional factory in the village of "Les Longines" – which, translated to “the long meadows” – in 1866, laid down the foundation for the success of the brand. To date, the company manufactures innovative watch collections. Furthermore, Longines collaborates with famous sports events throughout various divisions and embraces the honourable position of partner and precise timekeeper.
