Luxury Black Weekend at CHRONEXT

November 22. 2017 - by Nils Rau

It is that time of year again: Every Friday after Thanksgiving, the fourth Friday in November, the retail industry celebrates “Black Friday”. Of course, this globally known shopping extravaganza does not pass by without leaving its mark on the watch market. Therefore, as of November 24th, we are kicking off our Luxury Black Weekend where watches will be available for exceptionally good offers all weekend long. As we head into the biggest shopping day of the year, we take a look at current developments in the online watch market. Read on to learn more.

Black Friday goes digital

On every fourth Thursday in November, the American Thanksgiving is held. The day that follows has taken on an identity of its own as “Black Friday”: A day in which American retailers have been offering generous discounts for years. It is this Friday that is considered to be the official start of the Christmas shopping season.

Something that many don’t know: It was actually a US-American engineering company that first introduced this spectacular shopping Friday to Europe. In 2006, the company advertised “Black Friday” and offered generous discounts in its stores.

An entire week of deals: From Black Friday to Cyber Monday

Since then, “Black Friday” has spread worldwide. The popularity has caused many stationary retailers and online stores to offer special prices and deals for several days, sometimes even from Monday to Friday.

Here at CHRONEXT, we are excited to offer our customers the best shopping experience with the most attractive prices: The Luxury Black Weekend at CHRONEXT is a full weekend of exclusive deals on our best sellers allowing you to not only find the perfect Christmas gift for your loved ones, but also that watch you’ve been dreaming of for yourself. This applies to top watches from Rolex, Breitling, Omega and many other renowned brands.

A luxury industry in transition

If you look at the evolution of the entire retail industry over the last few years, you will see that it is hardly anything like it was before: a large portion of purchases are now being done online due to increased availability and better pricing. Products can now easily be compared to one another with easy access to a plethora of customer reviews.

Of course, the Internet developments along with changes in customer purchasing behaviour are affecting the watch industry. In the meantime, retailers like CHRONEXT are connecting online and offline retailers. Anyone who buys their watches via our e-commerce shop will have the opportunity to personally inspect the watch before payment in our London boutique or one of our many VIP Lounges located in Cologne and Munich, Germany, as well as Zug, Switzerland.

Watch buying: The future of the Internet

While smartwatches do not seem to replace mechanical timepieces, the last few quarters have not been good news for manufacturers of the luxury watch industry. Currently, the situation seems to be easing up a bit, but one thing remains clear: the future of the watch trade will and must be online. With a large portion of sales taking place in the weeks leading up to Christmas and the end of the year, it is more important than ever for luxury watch platforms such as CHRONEXT to sell online. That being said, our Luxury Black Weekend is the kickoff to start the most beautiful time of the year with special discounts and promotions. Don’t forget that the CHRONEXT Luxury Black Weekend will launch on the 23rd of November through to the 26th of November. We will be offering exclusive deals from our bestselling brands but don’t wait too long, as many of these pieces are limited in stock. Keep in mind that each watch available at CHRONEXT has undergone inspection for quality and authenticity in our in-house atelier. As a result, all fine timepieces are certified by our watchmakers prior to being shipped out to our valued client.
